There are five levels of membership in the Society:
Clinical Membership : Clinical members are required to maintain their professional RN license, maintain certification as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses (CNS or NP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
Associate Membership. is available for registered nurse graduate students in psychiatric nursing and those awaiting certification by ANCC. Applications are available at this web site or contacting the Vice President of the Society.
Lifetime Membership:. is available to clinical members who have reached 65 and older and are fully retired or is permanently disabled from their job as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse
Honorary Membership: is available to anyone who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
Friends of the Society Membership is available to anyone whose goals are consistent with that of the Society and who has made a significant contribution to the Society
